Quickrooms at Tourism Roundtable 2026: Connecting Technology, Hospitality and the Future of Akwa Ibom Tourism
Uyo, Akwa Ibom State | September 1, 2026
Akwa Ibom State continues to attract attention for its rich tourism potential, growing hospitality sector and the opportunities available to position the state as a leading destination in Nigeria.
Against this backdrop, industry stakeholders gathered in Uyo for the Tourism Roundtable 2026, held at CEEDAPEG Hotels, Uyo, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
Organised by the Nigeria Hotels Association (NHA), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, and the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, the event centred on the theme:
“Repositioning Akwa Ibom State as Nigeria’s Preferred Tourism and Hospitality Destination.”
With the tagline “Unlocking Destination Akwa Ibom,” the roundtable created a platform for meaningful conversations around the future of tourism and hospitality in the state.

Quickrooms Joins the Conversation
As a technology company focused on transforming hospitality operations, Quickrooms was proud to be part of this important industry gathering.
Our participation provided an opportunity to engage directly with hotel managers, hospitality professionals, tourism stakeholders and other key players within the industry.
Rather than simply talking about technology, the event allowed us to demonstrate how our solutions can address real operational challenges faced by hospitality businesses.
From conversations with industry professionals to live product demonstrations, the Quickrooms team explored how technology can help hotels become more efficient, connected and responsive to the needs of modern guests.

Showcasing Technology Built for Hospitality
One highlight of our participation was the opportunity to introduce and showcase our hospitality technology solutions.
These included Front Desk, Kitchen Display System (KDS), ClockIQ, Quickrooms TV, Door Lock, and Restaurant POS, each designed to support different aspects of hotel operations and guest experiences.
Quickrooms brings hotel operations, people, processes, resources and data together on one connected platform, helping hospitality businesses manage their operations more effectively.
ClockIQ supports hotels in managing time, attendance and workforce-related processes, helping teams maintain greater visibility and accountability.
Quickrooms IPTV enhances the in-room guest experience by bringing hotel services, information, entertainment and other digital experiences directly to guests through their television screens.
Together, these solutions represent our broader vision of a hospitality industry where technology does not operate in isolation but connects the different parts of a hotel to create a more efficient and seamless operation.

Beyond Technology: Building Meaningful Connections
One of the most valuable aspects of the Tourism Roundtable was the opportunity to listen.
Every hotel has its unique operational realities. Speaking directly with hotel managers and hospitality professionals allowed our team to better understand the challenges businesses encounter every day, from managing employees and hotel resources to improving communication and delivering consistent guest experiences.
These conversations are important because building effective hospitality technology requires more than developing software. It requires understanding the people who use it and the businesses it is designed to support.
The interactions at the event also opened the door to new relationships, collaborations and opportunities to continue conversations beyond the roundtable.
Technology as an Enabler of Tourism Growth
For Akwa Ibom to fully realise its ambition of becoming a preferred tourism and hospitality destination, the conversation cannot stop at attractions, infrastructure and marketing.
The hotels and hospitality businesses that accommodate visitors are an essential part of the tourism experience.
Guests increasingly expect convenience, responsiveness and seamless service. Meeting these expectations requires hospitality businesses to have the right systems, processes and technology supporting their teams behind the scenes.
This is where technology can make a significant difference.
When hotel departments can communicate more effectively, when managers have better visibility into operations, when resources can be tracked efficiently and when guests have access to relevant services and information, the entire hospitality experience can improve.
At Quickrooms, this is the future we are working towards.

A Shared Vision for Akwa Ibom
The theme of the Tourism Roundtable captured an ambition that extends beyond any single organisation:
Repositioning Akwa Ibom State as Nigeria's preferred tourism and hospitality destination.
Achieving this will require collaboration among government, hotel owners, hospitality professionals, tourism organisations, technology companies and other stakeholders across the ecosystem.
It will require investment, innovation, improved infrastructure, stronger industry collaboration and a willingness to embrace new approaches to hospitality management.
Most importantly, it will require stakeholders to work together towards a shared vision.
Quickrooms is committed to playing its part by providing technology that enables hospitality businesses to operate smarter, connect their teams and deliver better experiences.
Looking Ahead
Our participation in Tourism Roundtable 2026 was more than an exhibition or product showcase. It was an opportunity to connect, listen, demonstrate, learn and contribute to the conversation about the future of hospitality in Akwa Ibom.
We are grateful to the organisers, the Nigeria Hotels Association, the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, hotel managers, hospitality professionals and everyone who visited our space and engaged with the Quickrooms team.
The conversations may have started at the roundtable, but we believe they are only the beginning.
As Akwa Ibom continues to unlock its tourism potential, Quickrooms is ready to support the hospitality businesses helping to make that vision a reality.
The destination is ready.
The industry is evolving.
The future is connected.
