Using Hexnode, you can fully control your Android TV so that it behaves like a dedicated hotel TV. This means the TV will automatically open the Quickrooms TV App every time it is powered on, and guests will not have access to other apps or settings.
Here’s how it works:
Enroll the TV in Hexnode: First, the Android TV must be enrolled and managed through Hexnode’s device management system. This gives you remote control over the TV’s behavior.
Set the TV to Kiosk Mode: Hexnode allows you to place the TV in Single-App Kiosk Mode. In this mode, only the Quickrooms TV App is allowed to run.
Configure Auto-Launch on Boot: Once kiosk mode is enabled, you set the Quickrooms TV App as the default app to launch on startup. Anytime the TV turns on or reboots, the app opens automatically.
Block Access to System Apps & Settings: Hexnode restricts access to:
Android home screen
Settings menu
Other installed apps. This prevents guests from exiting the Quickrooms experience.
Remote Management & Updates: You can update the app, change settings, or remove restrictions remotely from the Hexnode dashboard without touching the TV.
Every time the TV is turned on, it launches directly into the Quickrooms TV App, creating a clean, secure, hotel-ready TV experience.
